Is Envelope Subdued or Over the Top

I mailed two opposite ends in the same area. The first is a file from a company in large letters on the front to let me know what would be found written inside. The name and logo in the corner is huge, and could even be a picture of the small or large, with home visits also what is the matter of the file.
On the other side of this I’ve received envelopes that are very subdued with only a single sentence on it letting me know what to expect, and the company name and logo in the bottom or top corner of the envelope. It doesn’t scream its message, but merely tells it to me in a normal tone of voice.
Both are meant to get me to open that envelop and see what the real message is inside. The outer shell is only meant to grab my interest and make me need to open it up and read on.
As I said at the outset, I can’t tell you which one is right, and of coursework, there is lots of middle ground. I’ve seen envelopes jogging the whole gamut between the over the top screaming ones to the very subdued, more elegant ones.
Each style has an advantage to it, and I would say in the finish the best way to figure out which type of envelope printing is right for you will be contingent on your customers.
If you know your customers prefer the loud messages, or this has proven to work historically, then you know what to go for.
Not all companies are going to be so sure about this, though, which means a check will be in order to find out what works for you. I would suggest that the first time you get envelope printing done you receive a few different orders with a variety of designs on them. Do a few check runs with each design and see what your response finish up being.
This is the best way to find out what will work for your company. I wish I knew of a perfect solution, but trial and error will be the only surefire system of deciding what you need to use.
